RESEARCH CLUBS – GOOD TO KNOW

    1. Our clubs are affiliated with the Student Research Society of the University of Opole. Why?

    • This makes it easier to establish contact and collaborate with other clubs.
    • We can receive funding for all kinds of initiatives.
    • We can win financial prizes for the best research clubs at the University of Opole.
    • Every year, we meet at the University of Opole’s “Scientific Pre-Spring” – a gathering of all clubs where we share our achievements and organize workshops for students across the entire university.
    • Don’t have a place to hold a meeting? The Clubs Forum provides clubs with the “Mieszko” room (D.S. Spójnik, room 69a). To reserve it, simply contact the Forum.

  1. Funding.Applications can be submitted by the 15th of the month from October through June.

To apply for funding, you must:

    • submit an activity report for the past calendar year by December 31 of each year.

All rules regarding funding for the University of Opole’s Academic Clubs are found in Appendix 1 to the regulations of the University of Opole Student Academic Society.

  1. Want to start a new club but don’t know where to begin?

  • You need to gather at least 5 people willing to work in the club, elect a board, and appoint an academic advisor (any faculty member can serve in this role). You must also draft the club’s bylaws and a letter to the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education justifying the establishment of the club and outlining its planned activities and objectives.
