Prof. Aleksandra Pająk-Głogiewicz, University of Opole, Joins the Editorial Board of the Journal “ČESKÁ LITERATURA”

We are proud and delighted to announce the nomination and appointment of Prof. Aleksandra Pająk-Głogiewicz, PhD, a Czech studies scholar from our Institute, to the Editorial Board of the journal “Česká literatura.” The journal, published by the Institute of Czech Literature at the Czech Academy of Sciences, is the most important literary journal dedicated to Czech literature. As stated on its website, “it focuses on the study of the history, poetics, contexts, and functions of Czech literature, as well as on issues in Czech and world literary theory.” The journal’s aim is to publish articles based on solid methodological foundations that constitute a cognitive contribution and a research stimulus for Czech and global Bohemistics as well as other related humanities disciplines, and to track the current context of literary studies.”

The editorial board, which has a real influence on the journal’s profile, consists of specialists from Czech universities and research centers, but above all Czech studies scholars from leading research centers, including Harvard, Padua, Munich, Oxford, and Vienna. Our researcher is the only Polish representative in this group. It should be noted that years ago, Prof. Joanna Czaplińska represented the University of Opole in this group.

The journal, which previously had 140 points in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s ranking, is published in Open Access: https://asjournals.lib.cas.cz/ceskaliteratura/home
