The Department is an associate partner of the University of Gda\u0144sk within the European Program<\/strong> Flevolution XXI Century Skills in French Language Learning and Teaching at Higher Levels through Contemporary French Literature<\/em>. Literary Workshop.<\/p>\n

Actively implementing an internationalization program\u2014for the development of the university, the Faculty of Philology, and the Institute of Literary Studies\u2014it maintains active contact with French universities (Universit\u00e9 Paris 13, Universit\u00e9 Sorbonne Paris Nord, Institut Catholique de Toulouse) and Italian universities (Universit\u00e0 Aldo Moro in Bari).<\/p>\n

The Department also cooperates with the City Hall, the socio-economic environment, and entrepreneurs (external stakeholders, e.g., Capgemini, Stefanini, UFI Filters, and local companies such as Selt, Aluprof, and others).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Staff members of the Department of Polish Literature actively participate (by giving lectures for young people, organizing author meetings, and producing radio programs devoted to literature and culture) in cooperation with institutions that promote science and popularize literary and Polish studies, e.g., the Municipal Public Library in Opole, the Provincial Public Library in Opole, the Provincial Pedagogical Library in Opole, and Radio Opole.<\/p>\n

      A very important aspect of the department\u2019s activities is its collaboration with the most significant academic and cultural institutions in German-speaking countries, such as the DAAD, KAAD, Goethe-Institut, Austrian Cultural Forum, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Since 2022, the Department of German Literature (together with the Department of English Literature) has been organizing regular lectures as part of the Opole Science Festival and, in collaboration with Opole\u2019s English scholars, has been publishing a series with Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht: \u201cMitteleurop\u00e4ische Studien zur Komparatistik. Von der Romantik bis zur Gegenwart\u201d.<\/p>\n

      German literature scholars actively participate in numerous academic, literary, and cultural projects of both regional and pan-European scope. Faculty members have repeatedly been awarded grants from Polish and international foundations and research institutions: DAAD, KAAD, KBN, Eidgen\u00f6ssische Stipendienkommission f\u00fcr ausl\u00e4ndische Studierende (ESKAS), and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In 2014, for the book \u201cIch erschreibe mich selbst. (Autor)Biografisches Schreiben bei Horst Bienek,\u201d Dr. Daniel Pietrek, Professor at the University of Opole, received the Horst Bienek Promotion Award from the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts (Horst-Bienek-F\u00f6rderpreis der Bayerischen Akademie der Sch\u00f6nen K\u00fcnste).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
