Explorations is a double-blind peer-refereed open-access online journal published by University of Opole, Poland. It provides a forum that invites a wide range of original articles dealing with all aspects of the English language, English language literatures, and their teaching in tertiary academic contexts. It is thus dedicated to promoting exchange of ideas among English department teachers, scholars and researchers worldwide.<\/p>\n

The journal is divided into two sections: linguistic and literary. For the language section, we welcome contributions with a theoretical, empirical or applied focus employing a wide variety of approaches and methodologies. We invite articles which in exploring language and language pedagogy go beyond the formal and cognitivist paradigms, and are inspired by socially informed theories of language. We also welcome papers dealing with theoretical and applied translation studies. In the literature section we are interested in maintaining a broad debate on problems of the Western humanities in the last three centuries and welcome contributions that provide innovative interpretations and revaluations of what has been happening in culture and literature since the beginning of the XVIII century and up to the present moment.<\/p>\n

The journal places a high premium on readability and wants to focus on discussions of issues that prove to be influential in English studies and operative in contemporary culture. It aims at including a wide spectrum of disciplinary, cultural and theoretical perspectives, and encourages their plurivocal developments. In addition to original articles, we will publish reviews of current publications in the field of the English language, English language literatures, and their teaching in academic contexts.<\/p>\n

Literaport <\/em><\/strong>est une revue annuelle de literature fran\u00e7aise et francophone publi\u00e9 par la Chaire de litt\u00e9ratures fran\u00e7aise et francophone de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Opole. Elle offre un espace de r\u00e9flexion aux auteurs polonais et \u00e9trangers d\u2019expression fran\u00e7aise, aussi bien aux chercheurs connus qu\u2019aux doctorants et jeunes adeptes de la recherche litt\u00e9raire. Fond\u00e9e en 2014, elle avait d\u2019abord le statut d\u2019une s\u00e9rie monographique\u00a0; transform\u00e9e en revue (2019), elle attend actuellement son entr\u00e9e dans la liste officielle des revues publi\u00e9e par le Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00e9ducation nationale et de la recherche.<\/p>\n

Literaport <\/em><\/strong>se veut une revue litt\u00e9raire universelle. Nous acceptons les textes concernant toutes les litt\u00e9ratures d\u2019expression fran\u00e7aise, portant sur toutes les p\u00e9riodes de l\u2019histoire litt\u00e9raire, sans limites temporelles. Chaque num\u00e9ro \u00e9tant d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 une th\u00e9matique diff\u00e9rente, nous proposons, avec chaque th\u00e8me abord\u00e9, des pistes de r\u00e9flexion tr\u00e8s vari\u00e9es, permettant une aproche critique inter- et transdisciplinaire \u00e0 travers les diverses branches des sciences humaines.
